Interested in learning from other caregivers? Do you experience frustration or guilt and need a safe place to process these feelings? Our Caregiver Support Group & Educational Class can help you navigate through these feelings while also teaching you helpful tips and techniques along the way. We believe caregivers play a key role in the quality of life of a person who is suffering from illness, disability, or injury. These free-of-charge classes are designed to help the everyday individual in taking care of their loved ones. Our dedicated team here at Santa Clara Valley Hospice strives to help both the Caregiver and Patient learn to process feelings and find ways to improve Palliative care.

This group is aimed at offering an environment of support, acceptance, and cooperative learning. We cover important and timely topics that include but are not limited to:

  • Recognizing early signs of burnout
  • Nutrition
  • Uplifts of caregiving
  • Respite Care
  • Emotional support
  • Dealing with a patience resistance of care
  • Dealing with early signs of dementia
  • Home Safety
  • Signs of Caregiver stress & Caregiver-self care
  • Financial and legal affairs
  • Alzheimer’s care
